updiddly update

I don't post very often, so I needed an update. I have been trying to start up my garden here at our new place. It has been such a mission with my garden because Bandit likes to dig holes. Every time I try to plant something in the ground, he goes ad digs it up. The only think I have in the ground right now is broccoli. Sure enough though he has eaten a few plants and dug them up numerous times. I go outside and find a broccoli plant across the yard just begging to be put back in the ground on a regular basis. anytime I have a fruit or veggie with seeds, I just stick that shit in the dirt and see if it grows. Tomatoes are the easiest. I've resorted to planting most things in pots at least until they are large enough to replant. So here are some photos of my progress and some extra stuff.

2 broccoli plants I planted separately from the other bunch, to throw Bandit off.
The rest of the broccoli

tomato and homemade ghetto trellis

cucumbers and radishes from seeds.

the green carport
Mint and dill

these are some tomato seeds I threw in the dirt after cooking something. They are sprouting!

oregano from seeds

When we finally moved in to the new place I was unpacking boxes of books. I couldn't wait to find this book that has been in storage for the past 2 YEARS!! I was so upset that I put this in storage. I can't tell you how many times I needed this book while it was away. So when we finally moved and I was unpacking all the books, all I could think about was finding this book. I unpacked all the boxes labeled "books" and there was still no sign of it. I was really upset. I thought maybe there were more boxes in storage and I started to panic. But then something clicked and I had a faint memory. I had vaguely remembered putting this in a box with a bunch of office supplies, becuase it was always on my desk.  Lo and behold I found it in a box labeled "Michelle's desk." I was so relieved!

So I finally decided to make another batch of this all purpose household spray cleaner, equivalent to 409. If you have any care for the environment or just the air you breath in your own home, I recommend this book. We are exposed to so many checmicals inside our own homes and we don't even reaize it. From your bug spray to your toilet cleaner, there are toxic chemicals all around us. And if you have small children in the home, there is even more reason to switch to all natural household cleaners. Most bottles of household cleaners aren't even required to put ingredients on their labels. So most of the time you have no idea what's even in them! That's scary. I would rather just make my own cleaners, that last just as long or longer, are just as effective or more, and cost way less. There's no question. All it takes is a few ingredients and a couple minutes and you have natural products to clean your whole house. Plus, what other company makes tub and shower cleaner that is practically edible and smells like frosting? I do! I don't need a gas mask to clean my shower.

today is normally a zilla day

Well normally on weds. I do wedding planning. I didn't have anything planned today so I think I will take it easy at home. Attempt to lay down foundation for the garden, do some dreaded house chores and play with my lovely doggies. They have dog toys in every room in the house! My tea kettle just went off. OK, gotta buy some gardening supplies.

Bandit's new toy

I just bought a new toy for Bandit from Petstages. The one I got isn't on the webpage, probably because I got it at Ross and it's an outdated toy. But I will tell you this. He LOVES it! It's similar to a kong but it's shaped like a dumb bell. You can put treats in either end. I think he might end up tearing through it. This is the greatest dog sitter invention. OMG Aussie can relax, he's not jumping all over her and he is occupied with an interactive toy. We have peace and quiet. I hope that he NEVER gets sick of it!

 Yea I know, I'm sick. I don't care, I love my dogs!

been a while

Wow, I haven't written anything in a while. David and I have finally settled in to the new place. The dogs are here too. They have adjusted well. I haven't been doing much except organizing and going through stuff to get rid of etc. I baked a little bit last week. Gardening will start this next week or maybe even tomorrow. I finally collected some things from my moms house. I will start to plant soon. I decorated for Halloween and am just so happy that we are finally back in our own place. I have my own kitchen, my own yard, and even a craft room. I love being home. Ok well time to rest after a long day of work and playing with the puppy.

moving up and out

So David and I finally got off our assessing and looked for a place. We were holding out for a while to save money etc but it was time. We found a cute little house in north Miami with a huge yard. I'm dj excited to bring the dogs but the house is still upside down and not ready for them. I don't want to overwhelm them. Yea I know they're just dogs. I miss them. They are at grandma and grandpas. Lol. We have 2 neighborhood dogs that I think will cause a problem. They are always in the street barking at people a cars while scratching fleas with their limp limbs. Ugh. We are almost all set up. I think by this weekend we will be done. Ok well its been a long day and I have an even longer one tomorrow. Night

moved.

I'm super excited that we finally found a really cute little house to rent. We have been slowly moving stuff from davids parents house all week but yesterday we actually got stuff out of storage. Things we had sitting in storage for 2 years. I was so excited to have ALL my kitchen/baking stuff back. We did some heavy duty moving with the help of a few great people. I can't wait to go to IKEA or a couple thrift stores for some bookshelves and a desk. I have my own craft room. How exciting. Domesticating here I come. I feel like I need to re-learn everything about keeping a home. Ohwell. I will keep posting moving progress and unpacking discoveries.

Night until my dogs wake up.

Moving Merchandise

HUGE news!!!

Aside from the wedding, no wedding talk here! David and I are FINALLY moving!! After 2 years of living at home we have found a place and are moving tomorrow!! I'm so excited. We haven't really looked for a place until recently, we sort of just had our boiling point with living at home. It's been really hard and we finally needed to get out and start our life up again. We found a really cute little house in North Miami. 3 bedrooms, 1 bath and huge fenced in yard! The dogs will have a place to run and catch frisbees!

Since we are moving, we have to come to terms with getting rid of a few things. We had decided a while back that we would be trying to sort of start fresh with less possessions. It's going to be hard, I'm sure but I am really going to try. Our entire lives are packed into a Rooms To Go trailer. I will take photos of the moving process.

So here are just a few articles of clothing that I have been wanting to get rid of but haven't had the heart to take to Goodwill. I figured if I can find them another loving home I won't have separation anxiety. I totally have potential to become a hoarder which is why I'm in the getting-rid-of mood and very proud of it.

If you are interested in any of these items, please leave a comment or shoot me an email at michelleyni@gmail.com

I will be posting more items soon, plus we will have furniture as well, but that, we are going to try to sell.

hibbity bibbity

A few things. Thursdays are usually my zilla days. That's when I do wedding stuff and sometimes other things. Yesterday I went to pk oriental and Shing Wang. Woohoo, I picked up my boba tea ingredients and a couple extras. Got mung bean boba tea, mmmmm. Damn I totally lost my train of thought. Ohwell.

David and I are on the hunt for a place finally. We've been holding off for as long as possible but we're at our boiling point and we're so ready to get out again. We are trying to find a place that has a short term lease for when we're ready to buy. And David Sr. Has finally come to terms with giving up Bandit. So he's officially going with us too. How exciting. Alright well I'm going to go for now.

the loves in my life

My beautiful pups wake me up between 3-5am every morning. It's ok because I love them. Last night however I took them for a long walk, which I haven't done in a few weeks. They slept in until ALMOST 6am this morning! Now they are just playing in the tv room half awake. They both want to sleep but they fight it. They may get baths today.

It's funny, these animals have brought such joy to my life. It's sort of nice to have something to take care of that doesn't talk back and is always happy to see you. I'm sure that I sound like a crazy cat lady or something but seriously. They have given a little more meaning to my life. I look forward to seeing them when I get home, they always make me smile, and they are just adorable. I'm so glad that I have had the opportunity to see/help Aussie give birth to her puppies and to know that Bandit was the one we helped come out. We were so involved with Bandits birth. Haha. He's amazing, how much he's grown since we've had him in the few weeks. He's going to be Aussie's size soon and then he's not going to be cute anymore :( By then my next post will be "these dogs are driving me nuts." Well they already do a little now but I still love them.

God I probably shouldn't have kids. This is ridiculous.

Aussie is home...again!

Strange that my second to last post heading was Aussie is home. I have been really lazy/busy lately, so I haven't updated this thing in a while. Yesterday Aussie got out and took off running and the person watching her was unable to catch her. I was a WRECK all night!! I tried looking for her for a few hours last night, but she took off in Liberty City and I had to get home. This morning, still distraught over her missing, I went to take Bandit to the shop where they stay during the day and as I left the shop and was getting back on I-95, I continued to look around for Aussie and there she was sitting in someone's yard. She looked scared and almost like she was waiting for someone to come get her. I was SOOOOO relieved and I felt SOOOO lucky that I found her. She wasn't far from where she took off which is good. But for sure we are going to work on some heavy duty training and behavioral improvements with her. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and I don't know why she took off and why I had to go through that loss and sadness, but in the end we weren't meant to be separated just yet. I have her home with a few cuts and bruises but she is ok. She does have a microchip and tag with contact info, so if an honest person did find here, there would be a way to contact me. I'm just happy that it's OVER and she is home and safe with me. UGH I was a mess!

It's really amazing how we get attached to an animal and just like that, without notice then can just ditch you. I guess it's just their animal instinct or whatever reason they may have to run but it hurts so much. They don't realize how it affects their owners. I did acquire Aussie in the same manner, she just showed up one day. I just hope that she doesn't do it again. She seemed so happy to see me. :) I love her!

ok well that's all I got right now.
I'm hoping to update my wedding bloggerzilla. I've been so busy with taking care of dogs and planning weddings, but I haven't done any real work on my computer. I'm lazy and unmotivated, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I have a lot to look forward to. Aussie needs a wedding outfit. lol

 :)
